Denver Photo Journal - Week 1

Inspired by my goal of getting better at photography I decided to start a weekly photo journal documenting my progress. Pictures of all things Colorado and Denver; including people, houses, objects, animals and anything that presents a photo op (oops, there is a bunny outside right now... I will be right back) and turns into a great shot.

Presenting the first Denver Photo Journal ever! Photos from around Denver and of all things Colorado.

I've never been a rose fan although I love the blossoms. Just can't do the thorns.

Yours is only the second picture I've ever seen of a sweet pea tree. Mine was first. I found one a few years ago at a nursery out in the boondocks and had to have it. I drove straight home, hooked up the trailer and went back to get the tree. It was one of the most unusual trees on my property because in addition to the blossoms in the crown of the tree, it would put out blossoms all along the trunk. Just beautiful. Unfortunately, I sold that property and all my pictures of that property were sent to Electron Heaven in the Great Hard Drive Crash of August 2005.

I'd love to do a blog on the sweet pea tree if you'd care to send me some more photos. You'll get photo credits and we can re-blog over to your place, or vice versa as the case may be.

Pansies were one of my wise old grandmother's favorite fall flowers. Those and snapdragons. Both are two of my favorites, as well.
