I feel like the Maytag Repairman.....

Mortgage and Lending with The Loan Gallery

When he is sitting all alone waiting for a call that one of his machines has broken down.  With all this talk about the market, politics and the economy, it is a good feeling to be the lonely person who is believing that his/her clients are all okay.  In other words, if it ain't broke why fix it?  Very few of my personally referred clients have called me to say that they are in foreclosure.  In fact the only two that have called have been buyers of mine that pre-qualified with the builders of the brand new developments that they bought in and those lenders either did something to them or when they wanted to sell due to life changing circumstances, the builders were underselling the same models in their over saturated market.  How long can a girl be the lonely Maytag Repairman (woman)?  Hopefully the answer to my own question is not much longer.  In California the prices are adjusting to a moderate price range where many new home buyers are able to possibly afford to buy here.  In Los Angeles, it is tough, but it is starting to be a more normal market from the over priced homes that were selling in the not to distant past.

Being the repairman when it's not broken is actually a good place to be.  Maybe while your pocket book is straining your reputation is growing.  Hopefully when people are sitting around the kitchen table (while they still have a kitchen to sit in) my name doesn't come out in an unfavorable manner.  Hopefully my clients, advocates, even prospects have heard the care in my voice and the experience of my years and years of putting people into safe loans.
