Hundreds of Pets Who Need Homes are up for ADOPTION in Lincoln County North Carolina

The Lincoln County Animal Shelter and the Humane Society Lincoln County will be joining forces to offer dogs and cats that are ready for adoption. Anyone that is in a position to adopt a pet is encourage to do so. If you live on a farm why not adopt several. . .

With the price of gasoline why not make one trip a double? If you are going to the Lincoln County Farmers Market at Rock Springs Elementary School Saturday morning just slip next door and pick out a furry friend for life! It has been said more than once that most times rescued animals seem to have a sense that they have been saved from a terrible life and they are most appreciative. . . . some make the best pets ever!

Great job!  I always adopt from a rescue.  If I lived on a farm I can't imagine how many pets I'd have.

Teresa.. I think this is a wonderful idea, and I hope a lot of people come.  Adopting a rescue animal is so much more rewarding.  I should know, that is how I got Rusty.

I just wrote a post a couple of days ago about our Humane Society, the ASPCA, and pets in general. Did you know the ASPA has deemed this to be "Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month? And they're having a photo contest for the best dressed dog. LOL

Hey, Teresa.

I hope lots of our little friends got adopted. I've had pets all my life, as has my mom, and they have always come from the animal shelters. My latest, Zoey, came from the El Cajon Animal Shelter on September 20, 2007, so she just had a birthday.

Oh Teresa, what a wonderful message.  These furry little friends tug at my heart and I pray that many adopt pets from the shelter so they have a loving home.  Thank you for making such a positive difference.

Cheryl: I'm the same way. It's even hard on me to go to PetCo and PetSmart one the weekends when they have the pets from the Human Society that need adopting. I hope they did well Saturday. Their signage wasn't very desirable. The first time I went by there they just had a green and white (metal street sign) on Highway 16 that blended in. I was going to ask my husband if we could go get some mylar balloon but by the time we came back by there someone was out putting mylar balloons on the sign. Take care!
