Calling all ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night:  You'll feel right at home at Fullerton Market Thursday, Oct. 30.

The market will host its annual "Okto-BOO-fest" on the 30th, featuring activities, games and special events for all ages.

Located in the heart of Fullerton's historic downtown, Fullerton Market offers farm-fresh produce, flowers, fresh-baked breads, arts and crafts, and activities for children, including pony rides, a bounce house, and the "trackless train."

Market hours are 4-8:30 p.m. and the "Okto-BOO-fest" festivities will begin at 6 p.m.  There will be a costume parade for children, with trick-or-treat bags given to the first 300 who participate.  In addition, there will be special Halloween and harvest-themed games and arts and crafts activities presented by the Fullerton Museum Center.

The festivities will also include a pumpkin carving and decorating contest,

with families and individuals invited to bring their carved and/or decorated pumpkin to be voted on by the market crowd.  The winning carver/decorator will receive a $50 gift certificate to a local store.

In addition, a special "Okto-boo-fest" flier for children to color will be sent to all elementary schools prior to the event.  Children who bring their hand-colored flier to "Okto-boo-fest" will receive a ticket for the bounce house.

Musical entertainment for the evening will be the popular "Soundbytes."

Popular on the Southland music scene, the group has been the backup band for Wayne Brady's television show "Who's Line Is It Anyway.  The group has also performed for Princess Cruises, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers, and lead singer Shari Doran has appeared nationwide as Eva Peron in the musical "Evita."

The band will  perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Adults attending "Okto-BOO-fest" will be able to visit the beer garden, which will offer German beer and peanuts.

The market is located on Wilshire Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and Pomona Avenue.  Parking may be found in any of the free downtown lots, or in the parking structures at Wilshire (enter from Harbor);  Lemon Street and Chapman Avenue;  and in the Transportation Center at Pomona and Santa Fe Avenue.

Further information may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.
