HUD Homes $100 Downpayment has been extended!

In case you work with buyers who purchase HUD homes, I thought this information would be useful. I just received an email from a loan officer with the following news:

"I just wanted to send you an e-mail and let you know that the HUD program special that was to be cancelled October 1st has been extended.

This program allows for a $100 downpayment on any HUD home listed for sale. HUD will also pay $2500 in closing costs for you. This is in addition to the 3% closing costs that they traditionally pay. This means that there would be virtually no money out of pocket for you.

I am not certain how long the extension is for. HUD did not disclose this as of yet."

The best source for finding a HUD home is on www.GoHUD.com you can register FREE and you will be able to map the homes and see property inspection reports of the homes. It’s a national search, with the advanced search you can search the nation for homes below a $ amount. They can also help you find a HUD approved Realtor and Lender!
