There are two events in Chandler being held in October to celebrate Halloween.
Rawhide transforms into Doomtown from October 3rd through November 2nd, with halloween decorations throughout. You can also travel through several haunted houses; "The Crypt" or "The Asylum," or ride the "Train of Terror" where passengers will view the resting place of the dead. There are additional haunted performances as well. While there, watch out for the headless horsemen, Ghost Riders, and other spooky characters.
Rawhide is open Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:30 - 10:00pm, Fridays through Sundays noon - 10:00pm. The haunted houses are only open Friday through Sunday, and are an additional fee. For more information, go to www.rawhide.com, or call 480-502-5600.
The City of Chandler is also sponsoring the Howlin' Halloween Spooktacular on October 31st from 5:30 - 8:30pm. This is a family event that provides food, games, arts and crafts, costume contests, souvenir photos, and a haunted house, all in a safe environment. This event will be held at the Chandler Library Plaza at 125 E. Commonwealth Avenue. The cost is $2, but FREE for ages 15 and younger.
