I can not begin to express in words the amazing place that Active Rain has become in my life. Today I do not have the words to fully express the depth of gratitude I stand in right now.

As I contemplate all the good that is our lives and all the prosperity we treasure and enjoy on a daily basis I am awestruck.

We get a lot of business just from our blog from listings to great wonderful agents to coach. This is the reason I started blogging on Active Rain- to make money and to pay it forward. In return for the money we make because of our blog here on Active Rain, we make our payment through writing content in which you can also obtain the same results we have in the rain.That is what paying it forward is all about.

However, what was in store was beyond my imagination, beyond my comprehension- this thing called social networking. Through this platform I have met the most wonderful, caring, loving and genuine people, agents and mortgage brokers, stagers and virtual assistants, and more.

What is even more amazing is not only have we met so many awesome members in person and on the phone and also many just through our blog; is the far reaching hand of friendship that has been extended. Many of you are my friends, I talk to you more than the people in my offline world now. I quit BNI after many, many years of going to one of the best networking groups ever created because I was connecting better and more and making more referrals through blogging on Active Rain and I don't have to get dressed up and put on my makeup and drive anywhere!

Then today and yesterday I came to realize how far reaching into our souls these friendships reach and what they can bring about in our lives.

As you know those of you who follow our blog, we are fighting a legal battle to keep our land in Latvia, my mother's birthplace, from entering into the hands of the Russian mobsters that have falsified a forged and fake will of my grandmother.

Latvian Land Issues

We are preparing for the trial that is set to be in Latvia on November 5th. There were a lot of documents that we had to obtain to prove we are the rightful heirs. There are differences in different countries as to customs in names and all kinds of idiosyncrosies that we have to overcome.

One of the documents that I had to retrieve was my marriage record from my first marriage when I lived in Hawaii back in 1978. This was not going to be an easy record to obtain and it also had to be apostilled by the Lt Governor of Hawaii.

I knew there was not enough time to handle this by mail so I asked my dear friend in Hawaii, Sally Cheeseman , Hawaii relocations, if she could help me. She not only helped me, she double checked and researched to make sure we did things the right way. You can read my story about how Sally helped me here.

Sally called me yesterday with great news after she had worked on this for 3 weeks! The apostilled record was finally ready to be picked up in downtown Honolulu at the State Capital. I was so happy when she called me as she was heading on over to the post office to Express Mail it back to me. She then told me, Happy Birthday!

She  is a true friend who has a wonderful giving spirit. I just started crying when she said that to me. That was a lot of work, she had to go downtown 3 times before this was finished. That gesture alone was one of true friendship and of a person who truly pays it forward. Where else but on Active Rain could I have ever found someone to help me in Hawaii in a crunch and then give this help to me including all the expenses as a birthday gift to me.

Then I found out that my younger brother who lives in Tacoma Washington was having a hard time to get to Olympia to get his birth certificate, our uncle's death certificate and statements of other importance, apostilled for Latvia. I was struggling to figure out how to help him. He can not take time off of work nor does he have the money for the gas to get from Tacoma to Olympia and back. I was going to send him the money but then we are looking at another time issue.

I went to my post about Latvia to look up an address to the Latvian Embassy which I remember someone commented and gave me that info when I needed help with contacts for this case. I was rereading the comments and suddenly I saw Scott Cowan's comment that he would help me with anything I need in the Tacoma area. I know Scott but he was taking care of some family matter so he was not blogging much. I thought that it would not hurt to ask.

I emailed Scott and he told me that anything I needed him to do he would get it done for me. Now I am contacting my brother to let him know that Scott is going to pick up the documents in Tacoma and go and get them apostilled for us in Olympia and then get them back to us or send them to Latvia for me.

Now I am looking for a member in Imperial County California to help me get my Mother's death certificate as that is where she was killed in 1978. If you are one of my subscribers and are near or in Imperial county I could sure enlist in your help too.
