ABOUT HOME OWNERSHIP
Home buying education is a integral part of the Housing Authority & Urban Redevelopment Agency of Atlantic City program. Home ownership Counseling course are offered, and also working with a certified HUD approved counseling agency to provide debt management and credit repair counseling.

The Commitment of ACHA
Base upon a individual family finances, may provide up to 50% subsidy on the appraised value of a single family home.
ACHA will assist you with the necessary support systems, debt management, credit repair, savings plan, home buyer training, and post purchase counseling to aid home buyers to reach their goal of owning their own home.

The Goal of the ACHA
The Atlantic City Housing Authority & Urban Redevelopment Agency has purchased new, recently constructed, or rehabilitated single family detached and semi-detached homes for our program.

Criteria for this program
1) All program participants must be first time home buyers and not have had or interest in the pass 3 years.
2) Participant must be a public housing resident of the Atlantic City Housing Authority Section 8 Program or other low income family as defined by HUD income guidelines.
3) Participant must have adjusted gross income of at least $25,000.00 for admittance to the program.
4) Participant must have an acceptable credit history to meet the standards of a mortgage lender and qualify for a loan with the lender financing the home.
5) Must have enough savings for closing cost, and down payment. First time home buyer grants may be available for which participants can apply
