BRING THE KIDS out this weekend to the FREE Second Annual PINE CONE FESTIVAL in Twin Peak, CA. This fun event is sponsored by the Pine Cone Festival Committee and Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council.

Get a FREE Jeffrey Pine Tree (while they last, so get there early) and enter the WORLD'S BIGGEST PINE CONE" contest--GRAND PRIZE is $1,200!!!

CONTEST AND OTHER FUN STUFF include:

Music by Mountain Fifes & Drum Corps, the Johnson Family Quartet & Bagpipes.
Climbing Wall (10 - 3 PM) Bring a can food item for Operation Provider and climb for free, or pay $3 dollars

Darn I missed this one...I wonder if I have a festival in my backyard - do you think I could get rid of all the pinecones (they really hurt when theye fall on your head)!

Tracy: Ouch! Yes, they (pine cones) hurt when they hit the head! Last years winner of the "heaviest" pinecone, brought a 4.15 pounder. Can you imagine???
