                          Has Your Telephone Rang Lately?

Is your real estate agent COURTEOUS enough to call you with enough notice when showing your property?  Does your agent call you with follow-ups on showings of your property?  How often do you want to be called?  Are you getting the attention you want and deserve regardless of the price range of your property?

                                           Praying for that Right One?

Is your real estate agent AVAILABLE to show you properties in a timely manner?  Have you ever lost out on a property because your agent didn't get around to telling you about, or setting up an appointment in time?  Finding an agent who is available, or has a team in place that can assist you quickly is paramount when that hot property pops on the market.  Can other agents get ahold of your agent in order to show your property?  Many showings don't happen because of this.

Is your real estate agent a REALTOR®  Not all real estate agents are REALTORS®.  REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark which may be used only by real estate professionals who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and subscribe to its strict Code of Ethics.

Does your real estate agent have the EXPERIENCE to get the job done right?  EXPERIENCE is critical to your successful real estate transaction.  Has your agent lived in the area long enough to know what's going on with changes, schools, and trends?  To know which builders/lenders/appraisers/inspectors to avoid?  To know about the value of a property?  To know how to put in place a marketing strategy to maximize your sales price in your time frame?  To know how to negotiate firmly in YOUR best interest?  It's your money at risk, make the right choice.

Well, there you have it!

The key ingredients to a good real estate agent!  Does your real estate agent C.A.R.E.?  If not, I would suggest that you have a conversation with him/her and let them know your concerns.  Sometimes it's just a matter of communication about expectations.  Sometimes it's just time to find another real estate agent that CARES!

Gena,

I took a picture of the phone on my desk!  Just kidding.  It came from Flicker.  I think it was from France?

My parents had a black one like this up until a few years ago.  Metal dial and everything!  When you dropped the phone, it felt like you broke a toe!

Good memories, indeed!

We had had a black phone like this when I was pastoring in Girard IL back in the early 90's.  I remember some of the church youth came over and didn't know how to operate it since there were no buttons!  Too funny!

Remember the old crank phone mom and dad had in the basement?  That was fun to crank it up holding on to the posts for a nice charge running through your hand.  If you cranked real fast you could get it to tingle your arm!

Had to find our own kind of fun back then.  Remember the story of Dad and the other boys grabbing the electric fence with their hands in water!
