Essential Networking for Customer Service

Need a contractor, an appraiser, an agent that works heavily in the investment arena? After expanding our business into Property Management I realized just how small my "circle of influences" is. Most of the referral network that I had built up in the mortgage industry was completely out of date and so out of touch. Each of us has a need to be able to recommend the most respected referral to our clients in any capacity that we can.

I challenge you to look at your contacts and see if you are finding what I am experiencing. Are they still out there, do they do the same type of work, is their contact information updated and when was the last time we were in touch. Lord only knows that I have a huge job ahead of me to get these referrals all updated yet I take it as a very serious Customer Service issue to be able to put my clients and/or friend in touch with the right people for the right job!

When was the last time we actually tried to grow someone else's business? Making money from the referral is not the reward, at least not in my book, but being the "GO TO" person that offers information that can be of help is!
