Well folks, it's that time of year again. The air has cooled, the trees are a riot of colors, and every yard is blanketed in a thick carpet of red and gold. Living in Maine in the fall is like living in a postcard!
The cooler air also brings with it a variety of fairs and festivals. This weekend Bath is proud to host AutumnFest, a delightful celebration of the sights, smells, and sounds of autumn! The day will be loaded with activities for all ages, craft dispays, and food....did I mention the food?
Feeling creative? Participate in the annual Great Scarecrow Event, which takes place on the lawn of the Custom House from 10-1. Like to paint? Grab a brush, join the Autumn Window Painting crew, and put your mark on downtown Bath!
If you're already thinking Christmas shopping, be sure to wander around the parking lot of Bracketts Market! There, from 10-4, you can browse the great Made In Maine Craft Show and take care of everyone on your list! Wander over to the Bath Waterfront Park and check out the Farmers Market from 8-12 for a variety of Maine grown food, flowers, plants, and more. Still have money left? Well, don't forget to hit the legendary open house at Halcyon Yarn for special sales, discounts, and demonstrations!

Now that you've worked up an appetite, take your pick from a number of Bath restaurants, all offering autumnal feasts along witht their usual fare. I recommend stopping by the downtown BBQ hosted by The Park at City Hall.
Thoughout the festival you'll see wandering musicians, artisan and food demonstrations, and a lot of people celebrating the season! Be sure to join us for Autumnfest on Saturday, October 11th! See you there!
