Go to the Columbus Day Wreath Laying Ceremony - the 53rd annual at the Columbus statue at City Hall.
Visit the Santa Maria on the Scioto River
Last year on ColumbusBestBlog.com on Columbus Day I posted "Happy Columbus Day" and got a comment.
"I am here from NYC and there there is a huge parade this is the largest city in America named for Columbus where’s the beef!? no celebration? no festivities ? nothing in the Dispatch?”
No whining about there NOT being a Columbus Day Parade... no matter what city you are from or how big your cities Columbus Day Parade is.
.* Who works in downtown Columbus? City Employees.... Franklin County Employees. State Employees... even Federal Employees... Columbus Day is a federal holiday many have the day off...they are not downtown because it is Columbus Day.
