I have just recently checked my credit, and also the accuracy of the information that my credit report contains.  You should keep a close eye on it, and make sure the stuff on it, is about you, and that it does not contain errors, which could have a negative effect.

Good post/information.

Hi, Sylvie! Thanks for reading and commenting!

I recently had a client discover at the closing table that there were numerous aliases listed on her credit report that she had never used - incorrect middle initials, misspellings of her name, etc. She quickly contacted the credit companies and had the problems rectified, and thankfully, no problems had arisen. However, she is now going to keep a close eye on her reports with her two free reports a year, under Georgia law.

Thanks again!
