5000 Points

By
Mortgage and Lending with ASAP Mortgage
Hello to everyone.  Happy Tuesday! I am very new to active rain and am looking for a little help. Can anyone tell me how I can build my points? I heard that 5000 is the magical number, I must say that I have really enjoyed the short time that I have been on here, I have learned a lot from others and look forward to many more ideas.  Thank you to everyone!

Hey Andrew! I don't know that 5000 is necessarily a magic number. It's really just a start. There are lots of ways to garner points. Post good quality articles often, comment on other people's posts, download pictures to Localism.com, are just a few. Go to the AR Newbies Group and read many of the very helpful articles there. Feel free to ask any questions along the way!

there's no magical number.  You can write 1 great blog and get more exposure than getting 5000 points for 50 terrible posts

just stick with it... write QUALITY

and listen to Rich - he's one of the best

Hi Andrew -

If I didn't say it before, WELCOME to Activie Rain.

I don't know of any magical points either.  I do know that if you make at least 10 comments a day, post often and work on finding quality content, add neighborhoods on the map at Localism (for your area) and pictures, this will help raise your point value fairly quick.  If you have a personal website, you can link AR to it and receive some extra points as well.  Writing posts that get featured usually provides a little extra and inviting others (that actually accept and post) will give you 10% of their points.  Hope that helps.
