frustrationIn a shocking development, Active Rain removed the Blogs easy navigation tab sometime in the dead of night.  squirleReaders waking up this morning were confused, frustrated and just a bit ticked off to find the blog tab MIA.

Who knew so many people liked the blog tab that much.

One AR staffer was rumored to say "who cares, even a blind squirrel can find a nut every once in a while."

WHY DID THE BLOG TAB SUDDENLY DISAPPEAR?

  • One school of thought was that AR staffers wanted to give posters something else to complain about besides the economy.  It seems to have worked.  This distraction method has been used very effectively by many Presidential Administrations.
  • Others say it was to get rid of some of the political posts.  Will it come back then after the election.  Who knows.

An investigation needs to be done even before the country begins to investigate how we got into this financial mess.  The missing blog header is apparantly more important.

While we're waiting for the results of the investigation, I have become aware from an unidentified source that when Active Rain staffers were having a recent meeting at the same resort the AIG executives went to, their brainstorming session included the topic: "HOW TO KEEP SUBSCRIBERS ON ACTIVE RAIN LONGER SO THEY ACTUALLY SEE THE ADS."  Coincidence, I think not.

I have to go now before the AR police come a calling.  Oh wait...if they call sometimes they comp you points.

No Active Rain staffers were hurt by this post.

OH MY!  This is funny!  Yep - just figured out where the button is!  I wrote to Bob, Rich and Brad this am.  I thought I had a programing glitch - because my "channels" are all ON TOP OF EACH OTHER - and not usable... "in the future only contact one person at a time so as not to waste everyone's time..." my bad.  I just couldn't believe it was ON PURPOSE!

It is more than likely in "blog Heaven" (where-ever that may be) just as all the draft blogs that I have written seem to end up in "Blog Heaven" as well- nowhere to be found.... sad.

Maybe I don't uderstand all this fuss because I really do not know what the TAB was. When I logged on the AM I did notice a change, but whanI clicked on All Blogs it took me to the same place, I think?? Please help a non AR guru.....

Actually it was a clever ploy by Active Rain to give us all a subject to blog about today.

Hi Rich - Interesting theory, hope they don't cart you off ;-(  Thing is I do miss this tab, it was my way of keeping up with those I subscribe to.  One click and I could see who recently posted.  Now I guess I'll have to go to the search button or the associates area.  PITA
