Fort Carson Army Base - The Mountain Post is home to the 3rd BCT, 43rd ASG, 3rd ACR, 5th Armored Brigade, 13th Air Support Operations Squadron, and the 10th Special Forces Group.
Fort Carson is located in the Southwestern part of Colorado Springs. The northernmost gate is at South Academy and I-25 (map) and the base extends south past Fountain, CO.

Mariana - AWESOME post for the military moving into your area! I grew up in the Air Force, and we always lived on base, especially as my dad went up in rank. Most areas treat the military and their families very well, as they should, in my opinion. This post will be very helpful to those moving into your area, and they'd do well to work with because your posts demonstrate your caring about those moving into your area.
