Next week I am heading off to Destin, Florida. For the Crye-Leike annual conference and vendor expo at the Sandestin Hilton, held this time every year.

I am speaking in a breakout session on Thursday morning. The session is "Internet Marketing: From your web site, social networking, ecards & beyond..."

So many of us have web sites, but forget to tell people about them. Or we've heard of facebook or linkedin, but we haven't checked them out yet. Or even when you've been to all those places -- there are just so many choices of ways to market and network online... frankly it becomes overwhelming on what to spend your time on. Which areas should you focus? How should you use these sites?

In the session I'll discuss your web site and ways to keep in touch with your sphere online. I'll talk about the big sites you've heard of or may know and are already using (Facebook, Active Rain, MySpace, LinkedIn, Trulia, Zillow, Yahoo...) just to name a few.

• You can join groups.
• You can improve your search engine ranking.
• You can help answer questions.
• You can ask questions.
• You can keep in touch with those you know...
• ...and reach out to those you don't know.
