SOLD!!! The flea house is gone!!! Sold in one month!

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage

My blogs have been flea infested for the last month.  I had a foreclosure property that was flea infested and I hated that house.  The exterminator sprayed it numerous times.  They'd still be there.

The appraiser was over there and called me up saying he wouldn't go in because the fleas were so bad. (This was after obtaining a buyer.)  I told him I'd hustle over with spray for his legs.  In the meantime, I told him to put down a sheet of white paper and see if fleas hopped on.

When I got there the paper was flealess.  I told him he'd been hallucinating.

He said, "No, there was something all over my pants legs!"

I went into the house, shoving the sheet of white paper in front of me. Clean!  No fleas.  I told him he probably had seed ticks or just grass fluff.  He made short work of inspecting that house!!

SO!  TODAY!  SOLD!  I closed that house.   It sold in one month with two people wanting it.  That's what location, location, location will do for you.  Good neighborhood?  A few fleas?   We'll take it!!

All is well with the world!!   Except the economy.........sad smiley

Congrats on your sell.  Maybe it was all in his head.  The mind can play games.

Barbara - Your so funny! I wonder....did you hand out flea collars to the buyers at the closing?

Good for you. I hope you kept a few fleas so you can keep the species going.

How funny!  Must have been some great location, because I can think of lots of houses that are clean as a whistle that have been sitting forever....

Gee sounds like your buyer is a brave new home owner, hope he has some dogs for the fleas to dine on.

Angelia, I shouldn't have told him about them but I'd put a note on the door.  He did do a rapid inspection and he's usually a nit-picker supreme!

Carol, the buyers are flea-proof!  No collars needed

Steven, I'd love to have had Nutsy go in and inspect for me.

Janna, there's just something about the term "foreclosure" that brings out the buyers.

Mary, they probably will bring in animals.  Everyone seems to do that now, don't they?

Mike, I do think they are gone.

C Tann-Starr, thanks.  I'm glad you liked the story.  I'm going to have to find me another subject with my flea story all over.

Tanya, thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Fleas have cycles we forget about.  You kill the adults but there are still the eggs that hatch and start the cycle all over again.

Gene, I learned that.  We sprayed it over and over and over.  I still don't know how the people could have lived with all those fleas unless perhaps the fleas loved the animals so much that they left the humans alone.
