It sounds like everyone is all a-twitter for Twitter... I am seeing  a lot of posts recently about how much people like Twitter, and how cool everyone thinks it is. For some it sounds like it can be addictive. For us Twitter Newbs though, questions are lingering....

While I can see how this unique tool can provide a social link to friends and family, I am left wondering how can I implement this tool into my business to generate referrals and leads, and how would I use this to interact with my clients?

We have all heard that people 'putter' in various things, with so many social networking sites available, I am interested in hearing from you. How do you Twitter?

I think there is no right or wrong answer. Those who twitter wuld back it up and tell you that it is not only a family/friends situation but also business. Those who are  not into it would say that it is useless as a business tool

I'm still curious though as I am sure others are who have read the recent Twitter posts which were great but a little vague for us on the fringe - just what is the purpose... I am not sure if my clients need to know that "I am dying for a cup of coffee"  As a knownn technophile, I am always in curiosity about new things and like to leave my mind open to explore the possibilities available with new technologies and ideas. I am interested to know specifically how people are using Twitter to connect with clients and business associates.

I am of the same mindset Lorna.  I'll hang out for a while and see what the responses are.

Hi Lorna, I just set up a Twitter account but I am not sure yet of its value to my business. I am still trying to figure it out.

Hi Lorna, I recently started to explore the social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.  I was wondering too how these new medias could help our business...I'm still wondering, but as I experience these platforms, I can better evaluate  the possibilities.  Sign up for a Twitter account and follow a few active Real estate agents or other business professionals.

I still haven't found the business model, but I know I won't find it without looking. :)

Hello my Twitterish Collegues!

Well do we have a consensus on Twitter yet? For those of you who bravely signed up - can you share how this works for you in your business? Shouls we all be a-twitter for Twitter?

I am still out on my verdict. But connections are valuable enough that I may give it a shot.

Thanks everyone for your feedback Jon. I am still questioning the value of this twitter tool. I am not sure that posting to another site pays very well. As far as connections go, I believe in the value of networking, as well as social networking, the word is still out for me on Twitter.

Hi Lorna...It about touching with as many people as possible, letting people watch you and see your personally, likes and dislikes, interests, your real estate, etc. You can set up your Facebook and invite your clients, Realtors and all their Friends too, plus allow your tweets to show on Facebook when you tweet(comment on Twitter). Something like have a bulletin Board on You, except it can be in-front of Millions of consumers.

Cheers, thanks for sharing your question :O)

Thanks Fred! I have since started tweeting, and am still getting the hang of things. I have installed the facebook application and the blackberry application. I must say that I am enjoying the posts of all that I am following. Thanks for the post!
