Great Smoky Mountains National ParkIt's early Saturday morning as I write this. Even though I didn't get to sleep until 2:00 A.M. this morning, I still got up at 6:30 like I always do. I am, after all, a creature of habit. So although I am very sleepy and have no pressing obligations, I continue with my usual morning rituals.

One of those morning rituals, of course, is penning an entry in my blog journal. It's something I do every morning, although sometimes the words do not flow automatically. I have come to the point where I consider my readers as I write, and I do not want to be boring, preachy, or aloof.

Rather, I want to convey my emotions at the moment. Sometimes I feel passionate, sometimes I feel funny, sometimes I'm a little depressed, and more often than not I'm exuberant about another day's allotment of time that I can use to face life's next experience. And in my fifty-five plus years, I have had some very interesting days, that's for sure!

Blue Ridge MountainsSo the reason I don't sleep late is that I am afraid of losing one cognizant minute of today's experience opportunities! Who knows what lies ahead in the next twelve hours? Anything can happen, and after another cup of coffee of two, I will be ready to accept the challenge of October 11, 2008! After all, I only get one chance at it.

Richard-I read your comment on my blog before I came over here to see you again and I left you a long winded comment.  Thank you for the compliment. I had to laugh what you said on the comment above about me having an interesting past. I have to tell you I appreciate that when I leave you a comment you always respond back to it, that means a lot. Now all I got to do is train you to read my blogs that quickly.(LOL)I do hope you know I'm teasing you. I got brothers so it just comes natural.  Of course it would help if I got my act together and blogged regularly like you do. I truly enjoy reading your blogs and your consistency in doing it is definitely the key. Richard-That a good excuse except for the fact that I find yours without that button(lol) and for some reason that button isn't easy to find even now because it isn't on the top of my page like yours is or I'm still not understanding it. This cold has knocked me for a loop. Brainfog, big time. Don't worry no blogs for a couple of days. Got homework to do. Richard-Must be all the rants worked with you as the ringleader. It is more convenient no doubt. Sleep well. You got to get a good nights sleep so I can wake up to find your blog real easy now.
