Do you go to 'Blogs' home page and then click on "SUBSCRIBED" view?
Wouldn't it be nice if you could then choose "PROFESSIONAL", so you wouldn't have to sort through all the consumer-intended posts... of those you subscribe to?
It could look like this:

You could click 'Subscribed', then 'Professional' and not have to see listings, local events, etc. that are posted to the Consumer channel for the blogs you subscribe to.
This will be a great help to those who want to read your AR content, but not Localism posts, etc.
Several people have commented that they have unsubcribed to Rainers who post too much local content in their blogs. With this change, you would have a choice. Right now, the Professional & Consumer buttons on the top bar appear to only sort 'All' posts.
The new addition would also provide the Professional & Consumer sort of 'Featured' posts as well.

I was so glad to see the blogs button back today that I almost cried. Your idea is sound. Hope it gets picked up by the Active Rain staff.
