If someone asked you which verse/s in the Bible you would use to help describe you or how you feel about life, which would you choose?   We are all so different, and the Bible is full of so many inspiring verses on so many topics....it might be hard to choose.

Active Rain is about developing relationships, and part of this experience is getting to know each other.  Using Bible verses may be a great way to let people know something about you that they might not otherwise learn.

NEXT....consider yourself tagged and please write a blog regarding this subject!  Then please tag other Christians here in the Rain and let them join in the fun!

I'll start this new game of TAG in the Rain!

One of my motto's in life has always been:
If you see someone without a smile...share one of your's with them!

A verse that goes with this...
(Proverbs 17:22)  A merry heart doeth good like a
medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

My absolute favorite verses in the Bible  come from Matt 5  Luke  6..."Love Your Enemies!"  For me, this  is the gospel message.  It's easy to love those who love you, but can you love those  who make it hard/impossible to love them?  I  make  an effort to love everyone I come in contact with.

As we know, not even Jesus could reach everyone.  Many people rejected Him.  I take a similar approach...I reach out to everyone, but those who make it clear they want nothing to do with me (as a Christian), I won't force myself on them.  I'll make my effort, and if the reject me, I'll keep looking for those who ARE searching for answers.  I love to share the Bible with others...providing they have an interest!

I could pick a whole lot of verses, but I have chosen those that I feel most strongly help to describe who I am.  I look forward to reading the blogs that you write!

Here is a suggestion if there is someone you just don't like...
It is hard to be angry with someone if you are praying for them!

Lasting Treasure Matthew 6:19-24, Jesus teaches us too:

"Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth  and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.  But accumulate for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your   treasure  is, there your heart will be also."

"The eye is the lamp of the body. If then your eye is healthy,   your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is diseased,   your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!"

"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate  the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise  the other. You cannot serve God and money.  "

Bill - Thanks for your reply...I am definitely going to enjoy reading the replies!  There are just so many verses to choose from.

Your last verse brought to memory something I heard recently.  A man asked his Pastor where in the Bible did is say directly that a man couldn't have two wives, and the Pastor said..."No man can serve two masters!"  That had me rolling in laughter.  I also appreciated his quick thinking.
