Knowledge is Your Power For The Freedom of a Worry- Free Home!

You also need to think about the future

Look in to the future

There are really two costs you should consider when your buying a home. The actual price of the home and the resale value of it. Take a real look at the size of the home. Be sure it's not too small or big for your familys needs. Is the home too big or too small for the neighborhood it's in ? You may eventually face a very difficult time in the resale if the home you are paying for size you cannot ever recover if it's too big or if it's too small. The location of the home is also very important to think about. Are long commutes to work or shopping a factor in the area ? You may want to buy in a reasonable commuting distance. What about the style of the home ? is the home part of a trend that just may look outdated at the time you may want to resale, or is it a design that is flexible ?

Home Saleing

Always keep in mind your future needs, be it either as a resident of the home you are about to buy or as the seller of the home at a later date.

All of these are very good reminders and considerations when buying a home. I've always said, you make your money when you buy your home (buy it at the right price) but consider all of the above that Dale mentioned.

Dale - I always enjoy the good info. that you blog. The commute is important no with the price we pay for fuel. Where we live if you go to S.A. it is about  hour going and hour coming that is two hours per day X 5 is 10 hours per week. Time is important also.

Howdy Carl and Ceil

Glad to have ya come back to visit, my little ol Blogging Homestead, my friend.

Carl - you are very right. A lot of folk's up in part of NH that I live in, have to drive an hour or more to work, and then back home. The town that I live in don't have a lot of jobs to offer folk's. So most of them work outside of the area.

Carl - I want ya and the other members of the Active Rain community. To know, I sure do appreciate each and everyone of ya that take the time to visit my little ol Blogging Homestead, and the friendships that I've made in the community.

Y'all are very good folk's!!

Dale,

You posts on this subject was right on the money.  Its ashame that your post was not in the public eye as much as the presidential debates.  If you would get most of America to see your  7 part series, that may open the eyes of some of the vulnerable home buyers and actual keep them within their financial means and that would drop the foreclosures in the USA and in turn would help the emonomy.
