I just wrote a long diatribe about the upcoming election and the role of the president, and while I was proofreading it, I thought to myself: "Nobody really cares what I think about the state of the American electorate, so dump the epistle and move on!" Poof! Gone!!
And so my friends, you have been spared from the expectations of a simple man that just thinks powers of the president are actually quite limited and that most people that vote do so for inexplicable reasons so there's nothing that can be done to correct that, and we are inevitably doomed, regardless of our actions.
What really bothers me though, is the amount of misinformation that is being promulgated in this forum and elsewhere on the Internet. I am weary of reading so called tidbits are this or that that are factually untrue or even blatant lies. Nobody is going to change their mind anyway! That has long been established.
So PLEASE don't try to change minds with urban myths or legends, misleading or doctored statistics, or long-winded biographies.
The average person in the United States will vote based on looks, the way a candidate sounds, or some perceived financial benefit. And nothing, and I mean nothing, will change their mind. That's it, end of story.
