Money Saving Tip
As the economy grows tighter, smart consumers will learn to change their old habits. One of my favorite adages is "if you paid full price, you paid too much". Just because you have less money, does not mean that you have to drastically change your lifestyle.
Many Burlington County New Jersey families with young children face a unique challenge. Children quickly grow out of their clothes. As the family budget gets tighter, buying a new wardrobe is becomes a luxury that some families can no longer afford.
Fear not!
There are a number of consignment and thrift shops in the area. Many of these shops carry brand names that parents have grown accustomed to. Because young children grow quickly, many of the clothes in these shops have only been gently worn. In other shops, you will find new or surplus items from major department stores.
I have comprised a list of some of the consignment and thrift shops in the Burlington County area. The list is not complete, however, feel free to comment or email me with your favorite additions.
In addition, check out the best dressed semi-annual sale.
Best Dressed for Less is a semi-annual consignment event selling gently used name brand children's clothing, shoes, books, toys, equipment, furniture, and more. They have almost everything you could need for your children at a small fraction of the price you would pay in a retail store. The merchandise is screened carefully. Worn, damaged or stained items are removed from the sale and returned to the consignor. Our prices are great! Because Best Dressed for Less is NOT a consignment store, we have very low overhead costs. Therefore, we are able to offer our consignors a very high percentage of their total sales - and they can charge you really LOW prices for their items.
Best Dressed for Less brings together buyers and consignors in one location two times each year (Spring and Fall), for several days only. As a result, we have a large selection of seasonal items in one place, at one time. Their computerized bar coding system enables parents to quickly and conveniently sell the children's things they longer use to someone who needs them! (and at a profit!). I hope this information helps at least one family.
Have a Great day
