Adam & Eve:  The only perfect marriage!

A little Christian Humor heading your way!

Just when you think you've heard it all, you realize that you most likely haven't heard enough to fill a cookie jar.  We have a wonderful Christian Radio Station that I like to listen to whenever possible, and I always hear something good.  Today, I was listening to a very interesting sermon and I heard the Pastor say...

Adam and Eve had the only perfect marriage in history.

He never had to hear about all the guys she could have married.
She never had to hear about how good Mama cooked it.

What other reasons can you think of
as to why they had the perfect marriage?

LOL. Sometime, too many choices are a real pain. it is nice to have only one choice.

Huiting - You just aged me quite a bit...LoL!  Reading your comment took me back to some of the early days of McDonalds in my home town.  They had that basic menu choice, then they had to go and add everything, and it became hard to know what to choose sometimes.  I found myself wishing many times that their menu would revert back to the old days.  Of course, I have become something of a health nut now, and no longer set foot in fast food joints.

I put so much money  into those places for about 20-25 years I feel like I should be getting a dividend check.  Buying food there should also give us a bit of Stock.

Sylvie - What toilet seat?  LoL!  Trees didn't have lids back then, and when outdoors, guys tend to like trees.  Maybe that has something to do with the fact that women refer to men as "dogs."

Speaking of toilet seats....did you know that women win the war over the toiltet seat?  Check out the BLOG I wrote on ths topic.  After learning the facts, I gladly conceded that you women win the war.

CUTE!! Perfect marriage and they still found a way to get into trouble. That is because they did not have an accountability group! GBU!

Hi Chris!  Whoa...it's Wednesday night...I forgot.  I guessed I missed our weekly gathering.  Usually I get a reminder in advance.  I didn't get one this week.   Did we have a session this week?

To answer your question...how long you got?  LoL!  Things are swirling all over the place...some good, some bad.  Definitely a little more than normal.

LOL good clean humour...very nice.

They didn't exactly have to worry about the approval of the mother-in-laws, did they?

Scott, wouldn't it be nice if all in-laws were "NICE!"

That was perfect indeed.  I can just about see them looking at each other with nothing to say!

How many thousands of years ago did they live?

Yeah!

Thousands of years from now, my marriages (all of them) will seem perfect too!

Gregory, don't get me started with marriage humor.  I've got a ton of jokes on the subject.

William - Hmmm...conversation may have been interesting.  But you know, whenever I've been in a relationship that seemed quite good (which is especially true early in a relationship), the conversation just flowed, even when there was nothing to talk about.  Most of the women I've dated could actually carry a conversation all by themselves.

Evidence for my last sentence...

I consider myself a fairly good conversationalist.

I've been married twice (still on the second).  My first wife, her parents had a little place at Nag's Head and we would go there once in awhile.  It was a 4 hour trip.  I really didn't have to talk at all for 4 hours, and there was hardly a moment of silence.

The woman who introduced me to my second wife thought we would make a good pair because we could both talk a lot.  Well, that may be true, but I seldom have to talk when around her.  On the phone, I mostly just listen, and listen, and listen.  If my cell breaks connection, it could be 5 minutes before she realizes I'm not on the other end...and that has happened.  I would just wait to see how long before she would notice and would call me back.

So...if Eve was anything like either of those two, she carried the conversation quite well!  LoL!

Tami - I loved it too, laughed my head off when I heard that part of the sermon.  I just had to write it down and share it with everyone, and if I don't write things down, they quickly get forgotten.

Mirela - If you have tons of jokes on marriage, for heaven's sake....why aren't you sharing them with us?  I love a good laugh!!!  I'll be waiting...LoL!

And....it would take more than a thousand years of time to make my first marriage seem perfect.  I doubt eternity could make that happen!
