As you very well know, we are in a buyer's market in the Charlotte area, like much of the rest of the country. Houses are sitting on the market a little bit longer than we're used to in the Charlotte area and buyers are looking for bargains now more than ever, right?
Questions for Buyers:
- With all of the amazing deals that are out there right now, and the historically low interest rates, why are so many buyers on the fence about buying now?
- I have found that even when homes are priced well below market value, buyers still expect that the sellers come down on price. Is this your expectation?
- What do you expect from your real estate agent in this type of market that would differ from your expectations in a sellers market?
- How many houses do you feel that you need to preview before writing an offer?
Questions for Sellers:
- Do you blame your agent, yourself, or the market when your home is "on the market," but not getting any showings?
- What are the top reasons you believe that certain homes don't sell?
- Do you take offense when your Realtor suggests a price reduction?
- What sort of advice/strategies are you receiving from your Realtor in regards to selling your house in a buyer's market?
