49 Comments on Which Would You Rather Do... Lose Your Marbles, or Lose Your Donuts ??
Garren: Well... I just DID retrace my steps. A few days too late for the first dozen, but I made it to the drive-thru just now... and got myself a dozen blueberry fried-cake donuts. They will be great with my coffee tomorrow morning. Good... that is... if there are still some left by then... LOL.
Stephanie: I just made a quick trip out to Krispy Kreme drive-thru and got a dozen blueberry fried-cake donuts... and a dozen crullers. I will either thoroughly enjoy breakfast tomorrow... or I will explode. One of the two... or maybe both... LOL. Want a donut ? :)
Life is tough, I did something similar yesterday, I lost my Starbucks coffee. The day was just not the same
Anne: Some days are just filled with little tragedies that somehow we must at least try to overcome. For you... may the Starbucks Goddess bless you with a wonderful large Starbucks tomorrow... and may it make your whole day. Take care... help is on the way... :)
There are some sugared up squirrels somewhere in the Lone Star State LOL
Karen Anne - I just about fell over reading this! Oh, man...let me whipe the tears away from laughing so hard. Boy, this has happened to me to. My favorite is when I've got way too much on my mind and I put something that shouldn't go in the fridge - like my purse or something and then run around wondering what the heck happened.
Hey Karen Anne,
I am glad you could laugh through the (inevitable) tears! Well, someone in Fort Worth got a gift from the donut fairy! Lucky Day for them...
Hey Karen Anne, it's not age, it's too much on your mind! I would have honked and pointed if you would have shared a donut with me.
You should try Sprinkles Cup Cakes .... yum.
Karen Anne, Thanks for sharing this, it is so funny. I have done the same kind of things many times but not with donuts! I loved your title and had to read the blog. So glad I did. :)
Now, that is a bad day! I'm so sorry, but hey at least you got to enjoy 3 of them before the loss of the rest of them.
Todd: Losing my donuts settles it ! I am getting my next dozen using a lease-purchase. Maybe a lease-option... not sure yet ! LOL. It mostly depends on if they have the fried cakes with the blueberries. Yum !
Karen the mind is the first to go, Just don't forget to vote for McCain
Hugh: Oh... wow... I am so glad you commented. I need to tell you about this. I have received word that the turn-out for the presidential election is anticipated to be so incredible... that there is a change in the voting schedule. The Democrats vote on Tuesday November 4th, and the Republicans vote on Wednesday November 5th. This way... everyone will have all the time they need.
Please spread the word. Thanks so much... :)
Hi Karen Anne: I hope that Alzheimer's isn't setting in... what a waste of perfectly good donuts!
BTW, I'll help spread the word about the new election schedule... thanks for the heads up! (he-he I love it!)
Just ran across your blogs... and I am intrigued! You definately aren't afraid to post your opinion, and that's refreshing!
This however, is such a sad tale that I just had to comment on it. We don't have a lot of Krispy Kreme shops in the Pacific Northwest. As a matter of fact, the closest one to me is about 40 minutes away. I would probably throw myself off the Narrows Bridge (I'd have to cross it to get there) if I lost 9 Krispy Kremes! Such a sad tale!
Hi Karen Anne...If you're ever in Nevada you might look for some powdered donuts along one of the highways. I really can't remember which one.
Our family of five was traveling with a luggage carrier up on the roof. One morning while packing up the carrier a box of donuts were left up there wedged in the rack. Shortly after taking off we began to see some white donuts flying through the air outside the right side windows.
A memory from 1983. Thank you.
Kate
Cheryl: A totally sad waste of perfectly good donuts. And yes... Dems vote on Tuesday, Repugs vote on Wednesday. and don't forget to turn your clocks back this weekend.
Alisha: I am so glad to have you reading my blog posts. Welcome to our little group of semi-crazy folks. Sometimes there is no "semi" about it. I do speak my opinion, but most will agree that I try to do it in a respectful way... and when I am in the mood to be somewhat "edgy"... it is done with mild sarcasm, or just plain silliness... instead of the slings, arrows and venom often used by "the angry ones."
Please... only throw yourself off the Narrows Bridge if it is close enough to the water so you won't get hurt, and only if the water depth is such that you won't bonk your head on the rocks when you land. You sound fun, and we need all the fun people we can find.
I invite you to subscribe to my blog if you have not yet done so. :)
Kate: I have only been to Nevada twice. Once on my way to visit Portland, and once on the way back. Not much fun... and no, I did not see your donuts... darn ! With all these lost donuts... I am sure there are some happy birds, squirrels and various animal folk who just love it when we zip by. Take care...
