This past Saturday, my dear laptop went into cardiac arrest.

I am pleased to say, thanks to the work of the wonderful guys at Info Plexus, an IBM authorized repair center in New Milford, Connecticut, my baby is now home and thriving...and allowing me to work again!

It had to spend a few days in the ICU while the motherboard (covered under its medical insurance...I mean its warranty) was ordered and replaced.  It is now shiny and bright-eyed and no worse for the wear.

I'm so relieved...now I need to start looking for a back-up system for all of my computers...

Don

Glad everything worked out so well for you. You could have had one of the Dell warranty's that make you send the computer back to them and been without for weeks.

Terry - I just recently heard about Dell's warranty and tech support issues.  It's a shame - in the past, I was always so pleased with Dell.  But, I'm glad I made the switch to IBM with this laptop.  IBM sent the part to their service center overnight at no charge.  I just had to pay for the labor, so I can't complain.

"Too bad we cannot put two computers in a room and let them multiply"  x 2!

I am so relieved that you are relieved...  that you have your computer back.

Donald - The old, no-longer-living computers do seem to multiply...I have several of them and always seem to find another one in a box somewhere.

Maureen - And I'm relieved that you're relieved that I'm relieved!

I promise to treat my computer with love and kindness and to take care of its good health with regular defrags and virus scans and spyware scans and...
