I'd like to introduce you to my friend and Smoky Mountain lover, Sandy Sgrillo. Sandy owns Sandy Llama Smoky Mtn Llama TreksSmoky Mountain Llama Treks  near Pigeon Forge TN.  Her company does hiking treks all over the Smokies with her professionally trained pack-llamas.  They are easy to lead(not ride) and make for a fun time with family and friends.

Sandy went hiking this past Sunday and shared with us this great fall color report from the beautiful Smoky Mountains. She gladly agreeed to let me share it with you!  Thanks Sandy!

Fall Leaf Report by Sandy Sgrillo - Smoky Mountain Llama Treks Sunday 10/12/08

Hiked up to the Mt Cammerer Lookout Fire Tower today(this restored 1930's fire tower is the last of it's kind in the Smokies)....was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! If I die tomorrow, it will be OK, because today I was half-way to heaven......

Fall Colors Smoky MountainsTook Low Gap up to the Appalachian Trail(a constant 5 miles UPHILL...just about killed me)....colors at the top were unbelievable! They're peaking up there now......

At the Tower, it was extremely windy and chilly, upper 50's, but just beautiful. We had lunch inside and spent time walking the catwalk...

Hey locals....if you can, get up there in the next few weeks or you'll miss out!!  And for you out of staters...get your butts up here!!!! Im so lucky to live here.

Enjoy the pics!  Smoky Mountain Photos by Sandy Sgrillo

It is sooooo beautiful in MN this time of year, but when I take the dogs for a walk in the woods I am the pack animal,  carrying the keys, cell phone, water, extra leash, etc.  Llamas sound like great fun .

Great color! Our Rockies have already peaked, but there is still some color left, even after our first dusting of snow.  Sounds like you had a nice hike, isn't it geat to get out in the cool weather and sweat  glow?  =o)

Lived in Knoxville most of my life and haven't heard of this fire tower before! I need to check this out! Very cool :) I was driving up in the Smokies today and the colors are still beautiful! I'm hoping the rain and wind tomorrow doesn't get rid of all the leaves. I've got a hike planned Saturday!

I'm in such need of a vacation, I just asked my husband who just left on a business trip, when we were going to get to relax, and and take one...he said never!  Kidding of course, but it sure feels like it.
