Trick or Treat, what are you giving your clients for Halloween popbys?  Let's hear all of your ideas!  If you go onto our Buffini website, they list dozens of ideas.  Some are new, and some are oldies, but real goodies.

Are you clever with your tagline?  Do you remember to ask for your referrals?  Mary Beth Eisenhard, who is here on the rain with us, is by far, the best at the taglines.  She is kind to share them with us.  Hoping she stops by this post!

So far, I have given out candy bats.  They are small candies that are made locally, here in Bolton, Ct.  The candy shop is Munson's.  They have their large location in Bolton and another store in Evergreen Walk which is located in South Windsor, Ct.  My tagline from my popbys at the Training Camp is posted below!  Yes, we had many chuckles from that one.  Having a little fun with it is a good idea.

You can purchase a bunch of small pumpkins, night-light sticks, candy or whatever goulish item that would bring fun to the popby event.  Enjoy the time with your clients!  Make it a treat!

Frances thank you for the reminder.  I have to go to Munson's and checkout what they have.  Can I borrow the "Bat" idea ??? :)

These are some great ideas!  I always do micro-popcorm with shipping lables on them.  "Things are always popping at ABC Realty".  I give them out to clients, use them at open houses and have even given them out to trick -or-treaters.

Betina, This idea is from my Coaching Company.  Before I joined Buffini and Company, I did drop by my clients with gifts, but, not on this level.  It really does make a difference:)

George, Of course!  They were on the candy case.  I purchased paper candy bags at Highland Park Market and the bats from one package, were enough for ten of the paper candy bags.  A little orange or black ribbon, attach your tagline, and off you go!

Leesa, Yes, I love the popcorn, too.  It is always welcomed!

I've never heard the term "popbys". How fun! I'm sending out Halloween cards this year too!

I love the idea! I am doing this October a jack-o-lantern template with pumpkin for my clients. I thought it would be lots of fun for my A+ clients. My other clients will get templates and halloween postcards, and ones with little trick-or-treaters will get Boo Bags filled with candies.

I tried finding your friend Mary Beth Eisenhard here on AR but couldn't. I would love to subscribe to her blog. Mary, if you are reading ... please post a comment for me.  :o)

Great ideas. I think that I will send an ecard for Halloween too!

I brought cute little pumpkins to my clients this month. Also, for clients of mine that work at larger companies, I bring them a basket full of candy bars with a halloween label and my card for them to give to co-workers. The tagline isn't my most exciting: "helping you find sweet success in real estate." It's a great way to give out cheap treats and give my clients a reason to have a conversation with their co-workers about their fabulous Realtor!

Kirsten, I really like it!  Try adding a phrase about referring other people they may know to that tagline.  They need to know that you want their business.  Believe it or not!  Ask the question, watch how busy you become!  How about something like this;  it would be sweet of you to let your friends know that you have found a good Realtor!  I love your referrals!

Kristen, I like you idea also. What we do in our neighborhood is to decorate our house for Halloween and then invite everybody to come and see how we did it by posting a virtual tour of the building of the prop in our web site. Last year we built a 40' Pirate Ship. We had over 2,000 people on Halloween Night. This year we build a Horse Drawn Hearse. It works like magic, we actually talk more real estate in front of our house than at Open Houses!

Here's a couple of tag line ideas:

1. Don't let this Real Estate market scare you!

2. It would be a Treat to help you through this Tricky market!

These are all great ideas! I wrote a post recently about my Realtor Open House and how I distributed candy with my card attached, but these ideas are even better! I like adding the tag line about referrals. Thanks for the ideas, guys. ~Pat Starnes

These are great ideas from everyone!  Although I can't do it this timebecause today is Halloween, I will put it in my marketing folder for next year.  Thanks all!

HI Frances,

You have came up with a clever marketing idea for halloween!  Our office here at ReMax in Defiance Ohio participated in the towns annual "big" parade.    Our float featured all our listing signs light up with halloween bat lights, the 7'tall inflated ReMax hot air balloon ran on generators & our kids/grandkids  dressed up in costumes sitting on bales of straw.

Some of the signs attached to our float included:  Find Us On The Web (Featuring a BIG cob web w/Remax.com),
Un-Booo-liveable Service!  Going Batty House Haunting?   We passed out ReMax imprinted  frisbee's with post cards attached referring to our "Lets Talk Turkey" upcoming campaign to give away turkeys  IF buyers will stop in our office, make arrangements to talk with a loan officer & bring us back a preapproval letter verifying they are ready to purchase a house and will select one of our agents as their Realtor.

Also, each of us passed out treats.  I put together my magnetic calendar, business card & 5-6 treats in a baggy.  I made the point to hand my  bags to the parents.

Reading everyones advertising ideas online is wonderful.  New ideas fuel our imaginations.

Thanks for the ideas, I look forward to reading the Thanksgiving ones.

We have a chocolate outlet near my office where I can purchase a small box of chocolates (typically the size of a business card) I attach my card to the front and drop them off periodically.  I am excited to have little catch phrases now!

April, The key to any of this is consistency.  Not just once in a while.  Try to make it once a month.  Your clients and friends will be looking for your next popby!
