Headed for Sedona, AZ from Topsail Island on Saturday - what should we absolutely not miss?

Our fourth trip to Sedona begins on Saturday! We leave Wilmington, N.C. around six a.m. and will touch down at Sky Harbor mid morning. We will be staying overnight either in Phoenix or Cottonwood (we have family in Arizona) and then driving to Sedona on Sunday morning. We are staying at one of our favorite resorts, Los Abrigados. One of the fun things about the location of the resort is that we can walk to one of the shopping districts, just adjacent to the property. This trip we are taking the Verde Valley train from Jerome (also a really cool town). So, all you Sedona and Arizona agents... what else is just not to be missed????

I am not from Sedona but my Mom lives in Prescott Valley, just over the mountain.

You have to go up the canyon to slippery rock and see that area, it is great drive.

Lunch at Ojecxxa, (spelling) is a must.  Sit up stairs beside the window for a great view of the red rock moutains while you enjoy the Navajo style Mexican food.

If time permits, when you go to Jerome, go on over the mountain to Prescott and spend an afternoon on "Whiskey Row" shopping and enjoying some of the old west bars, restored to the origional condition and strool around the court house square.  It is a great visit and you can stop by the casino if you wish and enjoy some of the local cusine.
