The First New "Skin" Is In...

Hi All,

The first new skin on my site Route66Living.com is up for viewing. The photo that is currently on the site is a "stock" one that came with the template. It will be changed to better reflect the Claremont/Foothills area. Also, since this site is a very public work in progress feedback is very important. I will do my best to get information into all the areas that are in need of it, but I don't want to just slap any old thing up there. It's my very first blog site, I want it to be special...

Take a look and let me know if you love it, hate it, etc. We will be trying on some other skins over the next few days to see which one fits best.

Now, its off to the Mattel outlet in Pomona to buy Barbies for my niece's birthday present. I will write more later.

Very nice! I LIKE it! I like the old "red" banner too though...it matched you better somehow. That picture doesn't say "Tisza" the way the red banner did. Not sure where I'm coming from on that...just my gut reaction.

ARDELL, I agree that the red is more "me", it is my favorite color after all, but we wanted a more readable format. Thanks for weighing in and let me know (as if you could avoid doing that :-) what you think of the other options.

And yes Cheryl, we do have boats in Claremont... they are all stored in RV parking alongside lovely homes, but we do have 'um! Stay tuned for the replacement picture coming soon.

We're looking for a good template to start with. We fully plan to do significant tweaking once we pick the right theme - a new header would be the 1st change to whatever template Tisza chooses. Also, it's fairly easy to change all the blue headline text to some shade of red.

Hi Cyndee and Mary,

Thanks for the feedback. The boats will be replaced sometime tomorrow with a more appropriate photo. I am wondering more about the layout than the graphics since Drew says that the pictures are easy to replace. I will share the procedure as soon as I learn it.
