Bellingham, MA has seen tremendous growth since 1993 when it experienced an influx of major retailers. There are currently more projects planned to entice more retailers into the area including an upscale shopping center dubbed "Shoppes at Bellingham".
Despite the recent growth, Bellingham has still felt the sting of recent economic times.
The first half of 2007 showed 66 single family sold listings with an average listing price of $343,427 and an average sale of $330,127. In contrast to the first half of 2008 which had 53 sold single family listings with an average list price of $327,106 and an average sale of $312,939.
This pricing decline continued into the third quarter of 2008 which showed 36 sold single family listings with an average list price of $294,569 and an average sale of just $282,044.
