Any success with Affiliate programs?

Services for Real Estate Pros with FlexBox Mobile Storage

I'm working more and more with Philadelphia Realtors and while we've gotten better at giving each other business and referrals in person, but I want to do better creating referrals online. I've created an online referrals page but I'm thinking of taking it further and building a full blown affiliate program that would automatically tracks what Realtors sites the clicks come from and which ones convert to sales.

Do any ARs participate in these? Which ones? I'd like to find a couple to model my own afterward. I found an interesting one selling packing supplies.

Thanks a lot!

Hey Christopher,

We work in the same field as you do, only we work in the Southwest. That referral idea sounds pretty awesome, and a smart way to track traffic to your site. We don't have anything like that for now, but it sounds like something we'll be checking out in the future.

Anyway, best of luck to you with the referrals. If you wouldn't mind linking to our site somewhere, or giving us a metnion, we'd certainly appreciate it, and provide a link to your site as well.

Thanks!

The answer is;

Realtors follow laws in Pennsylvania that say they can not accept referral fees from certain service providers (title and mortgage companies) they can accept referall fees from contractors and some service providers.  Storage companies would almost certainly be OK.

Is it ethical?  I don't know but I wouldn't take it.

Also, Licensed Real Estate persons in PA are not allowed to pay referall fees to non-licensed people, BUT they can pay for advertising and pay-per-click web advertising.
