Nashua, New Hampshire has been voted the best place in America to Live and here is another reason why Nashua is number 1.
Samita Mohanasundaram is the driving force behind Nashua's first Children's Day. Samita is a Nashua High School North student who believes that children are our future and that they must be inspired, recognized and have safe environment within which to thrive!
Launched by non-profit organization, Help Others, Inc., the goal of Children's Day is to plan an event which inspires, recognizes or educates children. Several local businesses will have a kids area where children can ask learn about various local businesses.
The official headquarters for the day will be at Greeley Park where there will be a free carnival, along with food, games and prizes for kids.
Children's Day is being held in conjunction with the Fifth annual Lights on Afterschool, a part of the Afternoon Alliance which is intended to raise awareness of the contribution of after school programs to the health and safety of our youth.
Mayor, Donnalee Lozeau issued a proclamation designating October 18th as Children's Day in Nashua.
Samita's VISION is to make Children's Day a national event; and what better place to begin than in Nashua, New Hampshire.
While it may seem that every day is children's day, unfortunately that is not the case.
For many years I have been volunteering with Nashua Mediation. Too often I see children who are in need of inspiration, education and recognition.
It takes a village to raise our children so that they can become the future leaders of Nashua and the world! Please support this event and honor our children ... a renewewable, sustainable, natural resource!
