I would say we have a fairly large group of folks we could call our friends. Some are also in the Real Estate business, but, many are not. In this time when quite a few are falling on hard times I cannot understand for the life of me how some people get so excited about someone in your circle having a tough time. What the heck is that all about? We recently have distanced ourselves a bit as every conversation starts with" did you hear what happened to". No I didn't hear, and why the hell does it excite you so? These are the same folks that do NOT want to hear how well you are doing. A genuine friend is actually happy when someone they know is succeeding, they tell you you can do it, they tell you you will pull through. You are the same way for their situations. The other folks are just poison feeding on the distress of others, stay away from them. Stick with the friends that REALLY care. Good Luck!
