The time has come to take part in a challenge that our sweet friend Celeste “Sally” Cheeseman has tagged me for.  I was really excited to jump into this challenge because I do so greatly love my profession and coming back from a little getaway, has given me even more clarity to share my heart with you.

I Love My Real Estate Profession Because…

I’ve Learned that a Passion CAN be Fulfilled

Long before becoming a real estate professional, one of my biggest passions in life has been to work with people, be of service to them, to help them reach a goal and to give in every way that my heart and soul inspires me to do so.  THAT feeling, THAT passion and THAT inspiration has been fulfilled with the gift of being a real estate professional.

Moments of Challenge Have a Whole New Meaning

In real estate we are faced with many challenges and depending on how one perceives each challenge depends on how we perform and service our clients. Rather than looking at a challenge as a “beginning with no end”, I choose to look at a challenge as an OPPORTUNITY to gain knowledge, growth and perseverance.

Excuse me, excuse me…Will you let me out of here! Thinking Outside of the Box Keeps Me Happy.

About 12 years ago I had the opportunity to go to an “early childhood” conference in Seattle.  On our way there we stopped at a little convenience store where I found this hysterical little toy box thingy that has an eye peeking out from the inside.  When you pushed the button you could hear “knock, knock, knock…excuse me, excuse me! Will you let me out of here!”  It was so hysterically funny and not only did it give me a good laugh, but it also reminded me back then and still today that I’m a little claustrophobic. LOL Being a real estate professional allows me to think way outside of the box and give my clients the best service that I can possibly provide.

Being Involved in the Community Gives Me Satisfaction

Utah has been my home for my entire life and simply said prior to becoming a real estate professional, I believe I took for granted all the beautiful surroundings that we get to take part in on a daily basis. Now, I find myself searching always for something new to learn about in this beautiful state.  There are even cities that I really hadn’t experienced until the opportunity was given to take clients shopping for a home. In addition, giving back to our communities by volunteering in various events such as Habitat for Humanity or local blood drives simply feels great. How incredibly grateful I am to live here.

Family is Where the Heart IS and In My Heart They are Unconditionally

Being a real estate professional has allowed me the opportunity to make each of my family members a part of my team.  Whether it be putting together mailers or helping me to service a listing, I absolutely love having my family involved.  They have grown to appreciate the hard work that goes into it and respect the moments when I’m away.  Not only that, I don’t have to turn in a vacation request or a day off request.  They become my appointment.

A Team, A Dream and Making a Difference ALL Go Hand in Hand

It starts with a dream and in comes the team and all together something incredible happens, we make a difference.  The moment I start working with somebody new we talk about their dream of home ownership or selling their home.  Immediately I let them know that we are all going to be working as a team. That team includes them, a lender, title, broker, inspector, appraiser and myself.  Teamwork is amazing and when that expectation is presented in the beginning everybody works great together.

Raindrops are Golden and…

ActiveRain has played such an instrumental part in my real estate profession.  What a difference this wonderful place has made in my daily interactions (even when away) with all the people that have surrounded me in my life.  I am so truly grateful to the incredible gift the founders have given to all of us.  You all work so hard to make this a place that is purely grounded and one that has grown by leaps and bounds.  Thank YOU! We are showered by golden raindrops with every moment that we spend here, our friendships, blogging, commenting, and referrals. WOW!

A Place to Call Home Helps One Grow

Finding the right place to call home and change are a GREAT thing for success.  I love the market center (brokerage) that I am a part of, which is Keller Williams in Sugarhouse, UT.   Thank you Elizabeth Nieves for helping me make that move 10 months ago.  Your support and the support of my office will never be forgotten.  The gratitude I hold for each of you is high on my list.

I’m certain if I were to over think this (which I often times do), I could come up with a lot of other reasons why I love my real estate profession, but for now this will have to do. I hope you all wake every morning with that sparkle of happiness in your eyes and that kiss of sunshine on your cheeks.

NOW-Who’s next?

Hi Julie!  Excellent post on your passions and you certainly covered some of the same that I would--or WILL!  I appreciate the tag and will get on it as soon as I can!  I'm in the middle of 3 buyers this week and they're looking at LOTS of properties!  The feedback reports are taking me away from AR right now but, I will be back when I get a moment (or ten!)

Julie- I am laughing at Kat's comment.  Many times I've wondered how anyone can be that sweet....but you pull it off all the time.  I too knew you would have a heartfelt Post, and of course Sally had to pick me along with you....night and day :)  Seriously I like so many of your reasons, and can understand how as a mother of school aged children that Real Estate can be a good Profession.  Your children will also learn some valuable lessons, as well as skills.  Thank you for sharing this with us.

BTW...I just tried to call you. Call me anytime tonight on my cell. GBU!!

Hi Julie, a very good post and a likley winner in the contest. You have given a lot of compelling reasons why you love your professiona and the one I can add that you didn't is that you are loved by the many both consumers , profesionals and the real estate industry for what you bring to the table. I love the positive message that you bring forth that is comfort for their soulas well as their ears. And you do this as a porfessional.

Julie,

What a great passion statement!  Money may get us to the job, but passion is what gets up through the day.  Success requires the disciplined application of effort through time, and that only happens when you love what you are doing.  Your love and passion shines brightly.

Julie....well said! I've never given so much to anything (except my partner of 19+ years) and while it's NOT taking me where I want to be right now, I'm confident that the time I'm giving is going to come back to me.

I've planted so many seeds, that they HAVE to start growing soon!

Hugs and Kisses!

Hi Julie!  OMG!  I was just searching for you to see how you're doing and found THIS!  UGH!  As I sit at the hospital with my hubby, I may get a chance to write but, I don't do my best writing when I'm up and down!  I will get this done at some point but, most importantly, HOW ARE YOU?!  I've seen several say that we/they miss you and I began to worry that I hadn't seen your name on my blog roll lately.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Howdy there Julie

Seen that you have not been active here in the AR community, I wanted to stop by to let you know about the Spammer that has found its way to the AR community. This is a top of the line spammer. The spam comments left on our posts, can very will cost your post that they are on points. AR is working on stopping the spammer. But for the time being, you should not allow Non-Member comments. I do hope you read this comment my friend. I'll check back to see if you have by. If you have not, then I'll send you an e-mail about this.

P.S. I sure have missed you being Active in the community! Because of all the help you gave me, back when I first joind the AR community. I have been doing will here. Way to many of the fine-es bloggers from when I first jond just like yourself, have been MIA for way to long. I do hope you and your family are doing will!
