OK, so I'm 30,000 points late. I just found out about The Active Rain Bronze Star Hall of Fame group by reading a post by Missy Caulk Platinum Hall of Fame............another milestone . Until reading Missy's post, I was unaware these groups existed.
As of this moment in time, I've got 77,640 points and I am fast closing in on 80,000, which I hope to do by this weekend:o)) I have really enjoyed earning every one of those points, and look forward to the next 80,000. Now that I have this blogging thing down, hopefully I will get the next 80,000 faster than the first 80,0000!
Active Rain has been an amazing educational resource for me. Prior to joining AR, I didn't know a thing about SEO, search engine spiders, short tails (or long tails for that matter). Because of what I have learned here, I am on the first page of Google, usually multiple times, for all my key words. I spend very little money on marketing my Los Angeles home staging company and my business is growing at a remarkably rapid rate.
Besides what AR has done for my business, I have made many wonderful friends, which to me is the best part of AR. I am now friends with other home stagers in my area - some would say competitors - but we like to say "comrades in arms". We share resources, help each other with "what would you do?" questions and have occasional Mojito Mondays at our local furniture rental showroom just to hang out together. I refer them, they refer me, and if any one of us has a particularly rough job, we are there to help out each other. I also have made friends in other parts of the country and I know, if I am ever in their neck of the woods, we'll have a great time just hanging out.
So thank you Active Rain for making me a better businesswoman and a better person. I look forward every day to learning something new and meeting new friends in the Rain.
