Tonight I caught Terry Fator's sold out show at the Las Vegas Hilton, and it's no wonder why it was packed. Terry was last year's million dollar winner of 'America's Got Talent', and if you caught him performing there, you can just imagine how amazing his live show really is. Backed by an excellent band, Terry performs nonstop with a very smooth blend of his unique ventriloquism, not only with incredible singing impressions, but his own genuine personality and flair for comedy. He is truly a unique and enjoyable performer.

His down to earth style connects well with the audience, making him reminiscent of the classic stars of the Las Vegas Rat Pack days. You can tell he's thrilled to be performing and really appreciates his audience. Like 'The Mentalist' Gerry McCambridge, he stays afterward to sign autographs and encourages photos taken during the show with hopes you'll go home and do a 'show and tell' with your friends. Due to a hectic schedule today we only had the cell cam with us tonight, so my apologies for the low quality image.

To add to that thought of the Rat Pack days, when entertainers would just 'show up' at each others performance, Terry just did it the other night. Tony Orlando was in town performing at South Point Casino Resort when Terry came up on stage with Emma and Winston the Turtle to do an impromptu sing along. Tony then went to Terry's show on Monday and performed 'Knock Three Times' and 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon' with Terry and his little friends.

Tonight's show also had some celebrities in the audience. Just before curtain, Jerry Springer and his posse of this year's 'America's Got Talent' top finalists came into the theater. They were led by this year's million dollar winner, Neal E. Boyd. Jerry and the rest were also very cordial, stopping to shake hands and a picture or two as they headed to their seats. I'm sure it had to be an inspiration to them to see a former contestant with his own show in such a historic theater. 'The King', Elvis Presley was a regular headliner, along with so many other top names in show business.

Terry's last shows at the Las Vegas Hilton are December 21 and 22. Of course we won't be missing him for long. Looks like he'll be around Vegas for at least the next 5 years with a 5 year option after that. He'll be starting his new show on February 9th, performing 5 shows a week for 48 weeks a year. He's taking over the theater in the Mirage after impressionist Danny Gans makes his move to Steve Wynn's Encore Resort, opening in December. With the packed house raving as they exited the theater tonight, it appears that MGM Mirage made a wise move. I wish Terry continued success and am glad to have him here.

Terry adds one more reason to why Las Vegas is such an incredible place to live. Every night of the week there is such a wide variety of entertainment, amazing entertainers and unique individuals that not only work here, but are neighbors in our community.

Bob: Just think about all you've been missing without my blog! LOL  Terry has a very good show that will change your typical view of a ventriloquist. Very well done and Terry is very personable....and so are his puppets. Or is that him? :-) Yes, the DH tweaked it a bit. He's one of those perfectionist types that will change it if he's not happy with it or has a new idea pop up.

I was at this show and it was fantastic! Have to see him again on our next trip. Maybe we should move there! I got home and noone would believe me that Jerry Springer and finalists were there. I shook Jerry's hand but didn't get a picture. Now I have proof! Thank You!

Julie: It was an excellent show. Glad the post gave you the proof you needed. We also didn't have a cam handy for Jerry and his crew and the cell just wouldn't have done them justice. If you do need something more, Norm from the Las Vegas Review Journal also had it in his Vegas Confidential column under sightings.

With pricing the way it is right now, you can get a lot for your money compared to just a few years ago. Feel free to do a little browsing with the searches available on any of my websites, and get in touch when you're ready. Then you can have all this incredible entertainment in your backyard!
