Did someone forget to tell Mother...?

Did soBackyard Playsetmone forget to tell Mother Nature?

I keep hearing about global warming...did someone forget to tell Mother Nature?  Take a look at our weather today.  It is April 11th and we are under a winter storm warning.  Originally the forecast was for 9+ inches in my county.  Thank God, we only got between three and four inches.  The wind here is whipping so hard that I am chilled (my thermostat is set at 70).Farm in distance

Believe it or not, we have a 20% chance of snow on Saturday.  Am I ever going to see spring?

How is the weather in your area?  How do you feel about global warming?  I certainly am not feeling the affects here.

The picture at the top is my daughters play area in the back yard.  This picture on the right is from my back porch...look carefully there is a farm next door (peer through the snow).

Wow!  We didn't get quite that much snow in Chicago today.  It was still more than we should be getting for this time of year.  Spring is almost here!

Lisa-tell the truth...you don't mind rubbing it in. :)  Wish I was on the beach.  I will be there in June.

Michael-we have had airport cancellations all day...I heard that Milwaukee was closed for a while.

Amy-I am so sorry to hear that.  I hope that when the storm calms the siding is in tact.

Theresa,

I know how you feel! I am in Kenosha, WI, and as I was attempting to drive home from the office I was trying to remember why I chose to live in this state! I am sure as I am shoveling the wet heavy snow tomorrow, I will still be trying to find an answer to that question!

Appleton, Kenosha... a month from now it will be gorgeous and Theresa and Kristy will love Wisconsin again.

We had snow Easter weekend in Central Ohio, nothing measurable but early Easter morning there was a dusting of snow covering the grass, with the blossoms and itty bitty nubbin leaves on the trees and the daffodils blossomed.

Theresa,  Mother nature is not being nice, we had tornado warnings out last night here, and had a few touch down in areas around us here in Indy.  We are having some weird weather here and all over the U.S.  Snow is pretty, but I am ready for warmth...stay warm, neat post.

The wind is picking up here in Huntington Beach, CA but the temp isn't too bad.   A little more rain would be nice though!

Kristy-I hear you...glad you made it home safe :)

Maureen-I am just not sure I am going to love Wisconsin for a while :)  More snow due Saturday.

Bob-I don't like tornadoes either.  That season is still coming for us.  I agree, we need some warmth!

Nicolette-Glad someone is having some better weather.  You could definitely have our precipitation! LOL

Just so you know it is going to be a normally January temp here tonight (not that it helps much I am in Jensen Beach, FL) We are now on water restrictions Lake Okeechobee did a record drop of 7 feet in one day and have dangerous fire conditions. We could use a little water even if it was snow.

Chrissi-I feel for you having water restrictions and fires are so dangerous.  I hope you get rain soon.

Yvonne-May it shine soon!  I think we are all tired of not enough sun.  I want enough rain to keep our lands fertile, but really would like some warmer temps soon!

Sandra-I am a little confused...I have the play gym above, but the kids stayed in that day. :)

55 and sunny in Juneau, Alaska today.  But we earned it.  Broke every standing record for snowfall this winter.  Even though it is warm I don't think I'll see daffodils until July!  Think Spring!  It will happen, Theresa.  Keep the faith.

Debbie, my mom and dad are in Bethel and they have had a few nice days now.  Today we finally made it into the upper 60's.  I am so grateful and can't wait until the really warm weather hits.

On a side note, I do LOVE Alaska as it is my home state :)

Nope...I haven't been back in many years.  My mom lives in the lower 48 six months of the year, but my dad only comes home on vacation every 2 years or so.
