The way ya do the things ya do ....

My new friend, Marlene Pelligrini, has tagged me to write a post about why I do what I do. Now, one would think that that should not be a big task since it’s something we do every day. Many times by rote. But is it really?

Having had some pretty interesting careers in my life (those stories for another time) I can only ask myself why it took so long for me to discover that Real Estate is really what I should have been doing for the last 30 years.

The reasons I love it?

Simple really … Hearing a little one say, “Wow, Mom! I’m gonna have my own room!”

Or hearing a seller tell the buyer, “I hope you will love this home as much as we have.”

We are all different, and therefore have different needs.

To be the person that is chosen to help another to sort through all the emotions and confusion of buying or selling a home is an honor.

Our clients honor us with their trust. And we owe it to them to give our absolute best – no matter the situation.

Your reasons hit home with me too and no matter how frustrating closing on a home, it is always a good feeling when it's done and you know you helped get that family "home".

Carol, I could always tell how much you loved real estate by your posts...it shows! When you have such a passion for something you go through the difficult times but you never give it up!

Carol, I love the collage of pictures here. I am going to have to get better at doing that.

Carol - You've managed to say so much in so little words. The sense of reward and fulfillment are feelings that we carry with us always.

It is an extremely rewarding profession isn't it! And you do it sooooo well!!

Cynthia - It's just so rewarding in a multitude of ways. But also so hard to put in words for me. But I think you "get it." :)

Carole - I do love it - that's for sure. And I'm here for the long haul. The answer to a temporary problem is not a permanent solution.

Danny - The collage maker is actually part of the software that came with my digital SLR. It was a lot of fun doing it.

Donna - I'm not always so short-winded. LOL Most times I ramble on. But sometimes less really is more.

Joni - Ohhhh, you flatterer, you! LOL Yes - it is rewarding. Often times in more of a personal satisfaction way than monetarily, but rewards come in all shapes.

Chris - Thank you! And I do love what I do. I take pleasures away from real estate everyday - just depends on the situation as to what the pleasure.

Marlene - Of course I did! :) After we get moved it might not be easy to keep up as I intend to be a blogging fool! :)
