The best part for me about about the Mid-West is the beautiful scenery, at least for me.
Growing up in the area I used to drive down little traveled roads just to look at the landscapes and the greenery.
On vacation here in Indiana I took tons of landscape pictures and wanted to share some with all of you.
These photos are taken from different areas around St. Joe, Wabash, Ft. Wayne, Peru, etc....

I hope you enjoy them.  I promised Robert Swetz I would share some photos so hopefully he likes them.

Indiana 1

I like pictures of rustic landscapes and so I chose to share this photo.

Indiana 7

Photo of the colorful foliage.

Indiana 8

This photo is of the Amish Village near St. Joe.

Indiana 9

I took quite a few photos of the colorful foliage.  When we first arrived last week most of the
foliage was still pretty green, but over the last week it started changing quite a bit.

Indiana 10

My son helped me take photos to pass the time and this is one he took.  He liked passing the Amish village so he took some photos there.

Indiana 14

This photo is typical rural Indiana.

Indiana 10

I really love photos with water!

Indiana 11

I liked this picture because of the colorful foliage next to the white building with the clouds in the background.

This got me thinking about travel........why do so many people travel outside the country?  We have the greatest country in the world right here!!!  NE, Midwest, Pacific NW, Southwest, Southeast.....we have it all!!!  Until you've seen everything the USA has to offer don't travel abroad!!!!

Chastity, these are gorgeous photos. Thank you for giving me a glimpse of my old stomping ground. I use to love going to Brown County State Park and seeing all the hills and trees changing colors. Have you been there?

Lewis - That's true...we have quite a variety here.  I have never been out of the USA...I have been in at least half of the states.

Susan - I miss it too.  I am from Michigan...but I have lived in several states.  I loved Ft. Wayne, IN...it has it all and it isn't too big.

Deb - You are welcome...I don't think I have ever been there.  Maybe next trip.

Chastity:  Arizona must be very different for you!  I once helped a client moving from Houston to Northern VA.  He seemed very fidgety in the car.  He said he was used to seeing in every direction for miles.  The trees were making him feel boxed in.  He and his family have been here for a few years now and they have all adjusted and know love the greenery.  Just funny how different our perspectives can be.

Yes, I am used to trees everywhere and moving to Arizona was a shock to the system, but I adjusted.  I like the wide open space of Arizona too, but I also miss tress and greenery.

Chastity - Seeing your beautiful photos and those of other members from across the country, who needs a vacation?  I can just sit here at my computer and see the country and it doesn't cost me a dime! :-)
