So you're probably wondering what these people are doing milling around this tiny building? Well, think again because this is the front of The Bargain Box, probably Hilton Head's most famous thrift shop. With profits entirely donated to charities and with an all volunteer workforce, it is amazing how much money is raised to benefit different island groups each year.

Shoppers arrive very early in the day on Mondays/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday and Saturday just to get a number to enter. They only give out 99 numbers as that is all the building will hold but what awesome deals await those who have patience. From designer clothing to home decor , jewelry, handbags, shoes and electronics------this is literally a treasure trove for everyone who visits. When you visit you'll meet a lot of interesting folks from all over the country and world. AND since you'll be waiting a couple of hours to enter, trust me, a little conversation will be welcome!

FOR MORE INFORMATION, VISIT THE BARGAIN BOX WEBSITE. If you go, I'm sure you'll find some treasures and once you visit, you'll definitely be hooked on Hilton Head Thrift Shops.

Diane, How fun! I have to admit I love Thrift stores. It is like going on a treasure search. My sister and I visited a thrift store when we were in New York City visiting my daughter a few weeks ago. Several years ago we visited one in Hawaii. I think it is really fun to see what the thrift stores have in different areas of the country.
