What about sleeze? Do you really have to wear Victoria Secrets as a female to sell Real Estate?

Karen - a few years ago I worked with an agent that was convinced that spandex skirts (3 sizes too small!) and sheer stretchy tops with contrasting undergarments was the "wardrobe du jour" and that she looked good in it.

First off - she looked like  ****** in it.  And sleezy would have been a kind description.

Secondly - She gave the rest of us a bad name.

Act professional, be professional and you'll be treated as a professional.  There's a time and a place for "party wear" and it's not in the office.

Undercover agent?  What's that?  A secret agent?

I am so far from VICTORIA(s) Secret I am what my clients need be it Blue Jeans selling the woods or Suits selling the City I am and spend lot of time researching my clients before we ever meet WHAT they need me to be!!

Hi Karen.  Interesting topic.  I guess every type of agent has the customers they appeal to.  I would imagine many single guys would be into the "hot/sexy agent".  But those guys probably aren't really looking to buy a house.  They have other things in mind...

Karen, Some realtors have the glamour shot photo of themselves wearing what appears to be a cocktail dress or less on their website and business card.  It does not present a good image.
