SPRING TIME FOR HITLER (as in the Producers)

By
Real Estate Agent with ERA TEAM IV HOMES

Several years back we were attending a broker lunch hosted by one of our agents. We were asked to give some suggestions on how to handle the decorating "problem". They had not elaborated on exactly what the problem was. The broker lunch was scheduled and we would see for ourselves.

We arrived at the home only to see a full size military vehicle in the driveway, complete with swastikas. We assumed that this was the only problem. More problems inside!  This homeowner was a proud & avid collector of Nazi "memorabilia". It was all prominently displayed throughout his home.It amazed us to find out that the seller could not understand why it would be best if he put his display away during the time his home was on the market. It took some time, but he finally agreed to box up his "memorabilia". The house did sell.

By the way, the  vehicle outside was a WW 2 German military vehicle.

We are not sure how one would obtain such a thing.  (E-BAY Maybe??)

Janice, your post was pretty funny! I thought I had heard everything! I saw a house just the other day as we were on tour that had a stuffed wild turkey in the bedroom. Now who would want to wake up in the night and see that??? Maybe that was why they were divorcing?

Just when you think you've heard it all......!

The fact that his poor 'decorating skills' had to be explained is too much.

Janice,

Well, what can I say!  I have to say that I don't think I would have taken the listing.  Thanks for sharing again another wonderful story.
