I recently did a presentation to the Muncie Homebuilders Assoc. and in preparing my data, I noticed a significant trend. First, the only segment of our population predicted to grow in the coming years is the 55 and over age group. Second, condo/villa/duplex sales grew 37% from 04 to 05 and 81% from 05 to 06. There are now over 20 condo/villa/duplex sites in Del. Co. Eagle Branch Villas at Heron Pointe continues to dominate the high end, Copperfield Commons has four new units under construction, Willow Lakes is preparing for a new section and PineView at Riverside is now under new ownership and aggressively pursuing development. Interesting stuff!
