Last night I introduced my daughter, Ashley, to one of
my favorite old movies: Labyrinth.
The movies chronicles the adventures of a teen age girl, who makes a mistake, she quickly comes to regret.
In an evening of frustrated baby sitting with her little brother - the girl calls out to the Goblin King (BOWIE) to come take her brother away - RIGHT NOW!
To her shock - he does just that! she immediately realizes her mistake - begs the Goblin King to return her little brother - to which her challenges her to solve his Labyrinth to win back the child.
Of course, the Goblin King sends minions to try to trip her up every step step of the way.
The film co-creators include Jim Henson and Frank Oz, of Muppet fame, using the most delightful and intriguing collections of creatures to make the story come alive.
The creativity of the Puppetry is outstanding!
The film is a delightful musical, with songs composed and performed by David Bowie himself!
Of course, lovely Sarah solves the Labyrinth, challenging the Goblin King, who does return her brother. The finale comes with Sarah keeping her colorful new friends Forever!

Ashley gives this movie a two thumbs up! Ashley says, 'this is a great movie to watch
with your family or friends. Sarah learns to not take things for granted, and
she learns to ask questions, and keep asking better questions.'
Great Lessons for all of us!!
Laurie - I have this movie and I love it. I bought for my son when he was only 7 years old and he loved it. Great post and great movie. Did you ever see The Man Who Fell To Earth?
