The Quinte & District Real Estate Board released the first quarter results for Belleville Ontario and the Quinte Region and the figures are very interesting. Although the number of units sold for the first quarter are down slightly (1.2%) when compared to first quarter 2006, the total dollar volume has increased 18.3% to $125,466,167 when compared to the same period in 2006. Even the total number of listings has decreased by 0.2% to 1840.
The figure that is quite amazing is the average purchase price of a residential home in the Quinte Region which increased by 24.6% to $182,171 in the first quarter compared to $146,236 in 2007.
